Day 3: Toubacouta
After breakfast, embark on a motorboat excursion through the Saloum Delta, exploring mangrove forests, oyster banks, and birdwatching areas. Visit Sipo Island, home to the Niominka fishermen community. Lunch at a riverside lodge. In the afternoon, visit Missirah village, known for its fishing traditions and the “Great Fishing Arrival”, a colorful and lively spectacle as fishermen return with their catch. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Toubacouta – Tambacounda – Simenti
Early breakfast and departure towards Niokolo Koba National Park, located in eastern Senegal. Along the way, visit Bambara villages and megalithic sites. Stop in Tambacounda for lunch. In the afternoon, continue towards Wassadou Lodge, the gateway to Niokolo Koba National Park. Enter the park for a first wildlife observation tour, encountering monkeys, buffaloes, antelopes, cobs, Derby elands, and lions. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Simenti
Early morning safari in Niokolo Koba National Park, home to a vast array of wildlife including elephants, hippos, leopards, and various bird species. Lunch at Simenti Lodge, followed by an afternoon wildlife drive, exploring the park’s rich biodiversity. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Simenti
Full day dedicated to wildlife safaris within the park. Morning and afternoon game drives to observe the incredible variety of fauna and flora. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 7: Simenti – Saly
After breakfast, departure from the park and journey towards Saly, passing through the Tambacounda region, known for its cultural diversity. Lunch stop in Kaolack before continuing to the coast. Arrival in Saly, a seaside resort, for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Saly – Departure
Breakfast and free morning to relax on the beaches of Saly. Afternoon transfer to Blaise Diagne International Airport for departure.
