Lunch on the island, followed by a return ferry to Dakar. Afternoon departure towards Pink Lake (Lac Rose) via the coastal road, known as the “Dakar Rally Route.” Explore the lake, famous for its pink hues due to high salt content, and visit a local village to meet the “Salt Collectors.” Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Pink Lake – Saloum Delta
After breakfast, departure from Pink Lake towards the Saloum Delta, a UNESCO-protected biosphere reserve known for its rich birdlife and lush mangroves. Drive through the Baobab Forest of Sindia, passing colorful villages and traditional Serer communities. Arrival at the Ndagane Lodge around noon, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a motorboat tour through the Saloum Delta, exploring its mangrove forests, oyster banks, and fishing villages. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Saloum – Joal – Saly
After breakfast, departure towards Joal-Fadiouth, also known as the “Shell Island” due to its unique landscape covered in seashells. Visit the granaries on stilts, the shell cemetery, and experience the traditional “Council of Elders” in Fadiouth village. Lunch in Joal before visiting the colorful fishing port and the bustling fish market in Mbour, where artisanal fishing activities take place. Continue to Saly, Senegal’s premier beach resort town.
